Booking Information and Policies
How to Make a Booking
To make a booking, please WhatsApp us at +91 93684 10776. We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak seasons.
If you plan to visit during the festive season or Kartik, it’s advisable to reserve your spot 3-4 months in advance. For stays during Kartik, kindly make your reservation by Gaur Purnima.
Required Documents:
- For Indian Residents: A copy of a valid government ID with your address.
- For Foreign Nationals: A copy of your passport and visa page.
- Referral Letter: A referral letter from your ISKCON mentor.
Booking Details:
- All bookings require a non-refundable advance payment of 25%.
- In addition to the rent, a security deposit of Rs. 2,000 is required.
Security Deposit Terms:
- The security deposit is refundable upon departure, minus any applicable deductions.
- Damage to Room or Ashram: If any damage occurs during your stay, you will be held responsible for the cost, which will be deducted from the security deposit.
- Bathroom Cleaning Fee: If the bathroom requires cleaning at the end of your stay, a fee of Rs. 700/- will be deducted from your deposit.
- Your security deposit, after any necessary deductions, will be refunded when you return the room keys at the time of departure.
Check-in and Checkout Timings:
You can check in at 1pm and checkout by 11am. However, if our room is available, we are flexible with these timings.
Ashram Guidelines
Kitchen Rules:
- Please do not take cooking pots or offering paraphernalia outside of the kitchen.
- Do not take serving plates, spoons, etc., to your room.
- Do not take eating plates, glasses, and spoons to your room.
- Cooking for Lord Jagannath is done by Gopmata between 11am to 12:30pm. Please avoid using the kitchen at this time. Coordinate with Gopmata for kitchen timings if you wish to use the kitchen facility.
- Please arrange your personal bhoga vegetables, fruits, and specific ingredients for cooking as per your taste and needs.
Safety & Security:
- Use the provided lock for your room. Seek permission and deposit a key or share the code if using another lock.
- Keep doors on staircases locked to prevent monkeys from entering.
- Keep the net doors of your rooms (on the ground floor) always closed to prevent monkeys from entering your rooms in search of food.
- Lock the entrance gate when entering or leaving the ashram using the provided key.
- Please take care of your belongings. Kirtan Ashram is not responsible for the loss of your personal items and money. Always keep your room locked.
Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Turn off lights, fans, and personal appliances before leaving your room.
- Avoid hanging wet clothes on wooden furniture, doors, or windows.
- Maintain cleanliness in your bathroom. A cleaner will be engaged at your cost if found dirty after a long-term stay.
- Keep your room clean using the provided cleaning equipment.
- DO NOT flush sanitary pads in the toilet.
Rules and Regulations:
- Overnight guests are not permitted.
- Men are generally not allowed in the ashram, except for necessary meetings in the temple veranda.
- Cooking in rooms is prohibited for fire safety. You may use a kettle for warming water.
- Be in the Kirtan Ashram by 9 PM.
- Remove shoes before entering the community living room and kitchen.
Communication and Reporting:
- Seek permission before involving watchmen in personal services.
- Report any damage or maintenance issues promptly to the administration.
- Inform the administration if you plan to use electric equipment such as coolers or heaters. Additional charges for electricity may apply.
- Notify the administration if traveling outside Vrindavan or staying overnight elsewhere to avoid causing concern.
Ashram Facilities
- Living room on the ground floor for taking prasada, chanting japa, reading, studying, meeting each other, and kirtana.
- Patio on the ground floor and first floor for chanting japa.
- Fridge in the living room for perishable foodstuff. Please clear your foodstuff from the fridge at the end of your stay.
- In the Rooms: 1 pillow, 1 bed cover, Water dispenser, 20-litre bottle, 1 Broom, 1 Mop, 1 Bucket, 1 Mug, 1 Duster
- In the Bathrooms: Geyser (for hot water – please switch it off after use), Wiper to clean the floor, 1 Bucket, 1 Mug
- 24 hours watchman – one in the day and one at night for the security of the ashram. (Please do not engage the watchmen for your personal errands.)
- Washing Clothes and cleaning services come at an additional cost. You may choose to avail the services of the washing lady for daily clothes washing and the cleaning lady for daily room cleaning.
- Wi-Fi will be available ONLY in the community living room.
- Garden: You are welcome to pick flowers for offering in puja. Just do not pick all of them!
Important Safety Tips:
- Be cautious outside your room to ensure your safety.
- Keep eyeglasses in your pockets and food in your bags to avoid monkey attacks.
- Carry mosquito repellent to protect yourself from bites.
- When using rickshaws, negotiate fares in advance.
- Refrain from arguing with drivers.
- Avoid traveling alone at night.
- Be mindful of overpaying drivers.
